We seek applications from outstanding Omani candidates to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and to conduct extramurally funded interdisciplinary research in the field of marine biology applied to fisheries or biological oceanography. 1. Develop undergraduate courses on Marine Biology and Marine Ecology and contribute to courses in Ichthyology, Fisheries management and Marine Zoology, Biological Oceanography and other areas related to his/her expertise. 2. Develop (within 2 years) a postgraduate course in the specialization if possible with laboratory, in line with the PG program of the Department. 3. Supervise research from undergraduate and postgraduate students. 4. Develop an interdisciplinary research program in marine biology, fisheries biology, biological oceanography. 5. The candidate is expected to work as part of an interdisciplinary research team and conduct collaborative research nationally and internationally. 6. Provide community service to the general public and Oman institutions through technical training, public presentations, technical workshops.For more details refer to the Arabic version Requirements1. PhD in Marine Biology or Molecular biology applied to marine systems from a reputable University 2. Established record of awarded research grants 3. Demonstrated peer-reviewed research publications in quality journals 4. Demonstrated, even if limited, experience in teaching at the undergraduate level in English. 5. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a teaching and research team. 6.
