Job Description

Requirements>Carry out inspectionand verification of newly installed static assets like piping, column, vessels, reactors, heate exchnagers, fin fan coolers, PSVs, spring supports etc as per approved ITP, drawing and data sheets>Based on the inspection findings,rovide detailed Inspection & recommendations for various plants at Duqm refinery to sustain equipment integrity and prevent recurrence of equipment failures by fulfilling the following requirements:>Carryout detailed Inspection & provide corrective actions and technical recommendations>Preparation of inspection reports as per predefined format with detailed observations and recommendations on time>Provide timely inspection reports and ensuring the highest standards are always applied as per procedures, specifications, applicable code & standard and company policy.>The position will act in accordance with the Group?s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines and international standards, supported by HSE standards, Omani?s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices.Main tasks and responsibilities>Carry out inspection of all static assets as per asset integrity procedure and guidelines during commission and steady sate operation>Identify defects and abnormalities of in-service and out of service equipment>Identify areas of concern and propose dedicated inspection procedures to follow-up their resolution to improve refinery/petrochemical plants integrity>Provides corrective/ preventive actions and recommendations with analysis>Carryout inspection as per Inspection Test Plan, RBI, QA/ QC plan for equipment and issues clearance certificates and reports after inspection & testing>Support in RBI assessments and in implementation of RBI recommendations.>Monitor participates in NDT of plant equipment and piping>Carries out inspection services and testing of all static equipment of process plants and pipelines system>Timely support toOperations and maintenance for day to day inspection requirements.>Inspection of materials and verification as per drawing/data sheet Quality of materials inspected>Witness Relief Valve calibration & testing works of quality jobs>Follow-up for inspection of repair and new fabrications in the assigned areas>Monitoring of welding & NDT activities in the assigned area>Support in optimization of field inspections: reduced Condition Monitoring Location (CML?s), extended inspection intervals, etc.>Monitor & follow up to capture any operational upset, corrosion related concerns and variations in critical process parameters.>Spring support and small bore inspections>Pipe line walk through in OSBL and ISBL area Skills and Qualifications:Essential:>Minimum Qualifications for this position are Technical Diploma / Engineering Degree or similar.>Certified in required fields (i.e. relevant API 510, 570 or 653). Minimum one API certification is required.>ASNT level 2 in NDTs like RT, DPT, MPT and UT>Welding inspection certification e.g. CSWIP, AWS etc.Education and Experience Requirements:>+7 years of total experience within the Refinery / Petrochemical industry>Relevant experience in a similar role.>Working knowledge of design, metallurgy, applicable code & standards associated with inspection of plant/equipment and familiar with QA/QC systems>Quality Control Procedures/Methodologies & Inspection Test Plan (ITP)>Applicable Code & Standards and Government Regulation>Non-Destructive Testing & Welding Inspection Technique and Procedure.>Good knowledge of relevant API, ASTM, NACE, ASME and TEMA standards.>Inspection experience specifically in the areas of Pipe Fitting, Welding, Welder Qualification, Welding Procedures, NDT and Hydro Testing.>Working experience of SAP/Meridium platform
