Pioneers Baccalaureate School in Nablus, Palestine seeks candidates for the position of the Assistant Head of School, effective July 1, 2021.?The Assistant Head is a highly visible community and school leader who works closely with the Head of School to oversee the wellbeing of the school and its community.??Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of School, the Assistant Head?s day-to-day duties will include but are not limited to: Assist the Head of School in internal and external matters; Represent the Head of School when necessary at meetings and events; Supervise Academic Deans, Coordinators, and other senior faculty at the discretion of the Head of School; Assist the hiring team with continual faculty recruitment and hiring; Coordinate the school calendar; Coordinate faculty teaching and duty assignments; Work with Academic Deans to organize and implement faculty orientation, training, mentoring, and evaluation; Assist and work closely with the Head of School and the Academic Deans on faculty concerns; Coordinate entrance exams and make final decisions regarding student admissions; Take the lead in effectively communicating with staff, parents, and other stakeholders on important decisions, activities, and student progress; Ensure the school?s vision, mission, and values statements are clearly articulated and communicated to all staff members, students, parents, and community members.Additionally, the Assistant Head will work closely with the Head of School on long-term development goals and special projects which will include but is not limited to: Oversee the NEASC accreditation process; Work with Board Liaison and senior staff members on developing a five year plan for the school;?Develop (in coordination with Academic Deans)?an immediate and long-term professional development program?to empower teachers and improve?instruction; Attend any board meetings where?academic concerns are under discussion.
