We are sixty years old American company recently relocated?to Merida Mexico. The company is a balanced mix of engineers,?marketing,?product development, and production.?The colonial city of Merida, Yucatan was recently rated as the?second safest?city in all of North and South America only behind Quebec Canada. A city that was also ranked the best small city in the world by?Conde Nast, ahead of cities such as Casablanca. The company leased its office in January of this year and today the company has 40 dedicated employees that include the following: engineering (8), production team (6) sales team (5), accounting (4), marketing team (4), others? and also one corporate attorney. The team also consists of several American and Indian nationalsWe are looking for a full-time, in-office, web-designer/developer to help manage and improve each of our 5 company websites (all on Shopify). We are looking for someone with strong design skills along with technical, coding expertise. This person will be working in unison with our primary web developer, graphic designer, our SEO expert and our team of technical engineers.Responsibilities:

• Website and software application designing, building, or maintaining.
• Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process
• Using scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.
• Conferring with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
• Directing or performing Website updates.
• Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
• Editing, writing, or designing Website content, and directing team members who produce content.
• Maintaining an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.
• Identifying problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing, and correcting or referring problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
• Evaluating code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
• Determining user needs by analyzing technical requirements.
