Job Description

SummaryPlans, organizes, and administers the operation and activity of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) office as well as other assigned functions/services. Assists, advises, and coordinates with the Chief Operating Officer with the management of staff activities and administrative operations. Develops administrative systems as directed and manages the daily routine operation of the office as well as other assigned functions/services.Essential Responsibilities and Duties1. Ensures the timely preparation of annual operating budget for all assigned services/functions, monitors and keeps expenditure within budget in coordination with counterpart departments.2. Oversees assigned work, established priorities, monitors performance and submits periodical clear and concise administrative and financial reports for all assigned services/functions. Ensures that all transactions processed through all assigned services/functions are authentic and are in accordance with Hospital policies, procedures and government regulations as applicable.3. Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery process; assess and monitors work load, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; identifies opportunities for improvement.4. Participates in selecting, recruiting, training, retaining, and evaluating assigned personnel. Establishes and maintains a positive working environment to implement policies, correct deficiencies and implements discipline procedures, as assigned.5. Maintains collaborative and effective relationship with other key management personnel and keeps abreast of significant economic, social, technical trends and regulatory guidelines which may influence assigned functions/services and/or the Hospital.6. Chairs and/or serves as a member of committees/taskforces as assigned.7. Supervises the daily routine operation of the Office of the COO.8. Resolves administrative challenges in consultation with the COO.9. Evaluates performance of the staff and approves leaves, as assigned.10. Follows all Hospital policies & procedures.11. Participates in self and others? education, training and development as applicable.12. Performs other related duties as assigned.EducationPhD, Master?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Hospital/ Business Administration or other related discipline is required.Experience RequiredFour (4) years of related experience with PhD, seven (7) years with Master?s or nine (9) years with Bachelor?s Degree, including three (3) years at a managerial/ supervisory position is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Saudi National Only.
