Job Description

ChemistDescription Reporting to the Senior Director, R&D, the Chemist will develop value added products for the aerosol and liquid filling markets and support production through routine analytical testing on in-process, finished products, and other samples.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides hands on bench laboratory work to new product development projects, organizes and manages projects and resources to meet planned objectives, reports on R&D activities, and provides technical support to internal and external customersProvides technical support services to manufacturing, quality assurance, and existing product lines:- Solution of product/process problems. - Development of new product/processes. - Maintenance/improvement of product/product line.Work collaboratively with Quality Control and Manufacturing to troubleshoot manufacturing problems/issuesGenerate specifications for newly developed formulasAssures all R&D laboratory work is carried out in a safe manner including adherence to personal protective equipment, training on safety practices, and that products and processes comply with all federal and state regulatory agencies and meet international chemical health and safety requirementsDevelops an understanding of process(es) e.g. product development, research, sample analysis, product testing, etc. by which results are produced- Learns to produce dependable data and to pursue quality in product and processHandles supervised informational contact with suppliers and customers as needed.Responsible for carrying out company policy and initiativesPerform other job-related duties & projects, as assignedRequirementsBachelors degree in Chemistry or related discipline or equivalent experiencePrefer familiarity with manufacturing chemical plant operations.Knowledge ?
