With a presence in 80 countries, SYSTRA manages over 3,000 projects for high-speed systems, traditional rail lines, metros and tramways throughout the world.Understand better who we are by visiting www.systra.com.ContextSystra are currently looking for Site Engineers (Civil/Infrastructure) for theimplementation of the public transport project in Makkah, including Phase 1 of the bus infrastructure project, in line with the directives of the advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Governor of Makkah Region, and the Chairman the Council of the Zone Development Authority.Main duties

• Review contractor design drawings and specifications (including RFPs) for constructability and conformance to project requirements.
• Review and approve contractor?s submittals for conformance with the requirements of the contract drawings and specifications.
• Review and approve shop drawings, samples of materials and components,certificates of compliance, and provide technical responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Visit construction sites to monitor progress and resolve construction issues in a timely manner.
• Provide technical solutions to unforeseen problems that arise during the contract duration in coordination with the construction contractor.
• Assist in identifying the need for a modification to scope, cost and/or schedule based on collaboration with the construction contractor and/or other entities.
• Assist with construction quality assurance by performing code required special inspections or required observations.
• Evaluation and notification of any significant event or technical deficiency associated with subcontractor performance.
• Participate in final inspection and prepare punch lists.
• Provide assistance to the contractors to identify defects, raise non-conformance reports and follow through to identify correction procedures to close out.
• Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to young Saudi Engineers.

• Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university with 10 years of related experience.
• Disciplines include highways, transportation, ITS, civil engineering, structural
• Hands-on Microsoft office programs and other computer programs.
• Experience in Civil Engineering Construction related work on large infrastructure/transportationjobs.
• Field experience, including oversight, inspection and quality control preferably as a Site Engineer or QC Engineer.
• Excellent oral & written communications skills.
