The food you prepare, cook and serve makes our guests smile and wanting!Hotel Overview:Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, is located only a few steps away from the Masjid Al Haram and the Holy Ka?aba. This 76-story hotel, one of the world?s tallest, is the focal point of the Abraj Al Bait Complex, part of the King Abdul Aziz Endowment Project,is the iconic symbol of hospitality in the Holy City.The hotel authentic hospitality is seen throughout1618 guest rooms and suites are thoughtfully and elegantly appointed-with extravagant amenities and five-star services that allow for peaceful reflection and repose.Responsibilities: Reporting to Demi Chef De Partie, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus.
  • Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback
  • Duties include assisting the production team in food preparation and performing related duties in the Kitchen.
  • Responsible for the work assigned by Head Chef in any section of the kitchen as per the standards.
  • Ensure to perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ensure HACCP procedures are followed and clear records are kept at all times.
  • Exceed guest expectations in quality and service of food products.
  • Liaise with the Catering and Stewarding Departments in a professional manner to ensure event objectives are achieved and standards are maintained at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
Physical Aspects of Position: Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
