Job Description

Since 2014, Niagara College KSA (NC KSA) has operated technical and vocational training colleges throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in support of the Vision 2030 initiative and in partnership with the Colleges of Excellence (CoE). All NC KSA campuses also offer a foundation program for English language development.Applications are invited for the position of Academic Advisor at Niagara College KSA. Reporting to the Head, Vocational Training & Curriculum, the Academic Advisor is responsible for student life,student advocacy, academic coaching, customer service, campus and community referrals and institutional outreach.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Advise students on college policies and procedures, program requirements and related academic matters
  • Closely monitor students to proactively identify at-risk scenarios and identify opportunities to develop, implement, measure and improve academic success strategies
  • Provide students with proactive guidance on acclimating to their new graduate lifestyle and building supportive personal environments and best practices to facilitate their student success
  • Connect with new students upon acceptance of admission to ensure overall readiness and escalate outstanding matters that would affect their ability to have a smooth and successful start
  • Provide comprehensive outreach to students who are at risk of not meeting satisfactory academic progress including communication across a variety of stakeholders including parents
  • Provide proactive and timely outreach, referrals and intervention through a variety of communication methods
  • Develop processes, programs, activities or workshops to support the student population
  • Collaborate with Faculty and Department Chairs regarding student concerns, student progress and course content
  • Resolve student issues and concerns independently or in collaboration with other departments within the campus
  • Support key departmental operations by tracking statistics, establishing and maintaining student files and generating supporting documentation as required
  • Support student success by collaborating with faculty and student services to address attendance and behavioral issues impeding the student?s progression
