Job Description

This position is to provide support for the Electrical work on a series of projects located throughout Africa but mainly focused on West Africa. They will be the primary point of contract for the group of projects and will manage the rest of the electrical team to ensure all requirements are meet and provide senior leadership status updates on all the electrical works.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical regulations and codes of practice, as well as a basic knowledge of local and international building codes industry practices;
  • Testing of equipment and completing inspections in accordance with IEE, IEEE regulations.
  • Familiarity with 3 Phase power distribution, installation and fault finding techniques;
  • Planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes, installation drawings and wiring diagrams;
  • Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications;
  • Work with Design Department to provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services;
  • Provide general support in the review of electrical designs and electrical related sections of project proposals.
  • Directing, supervising and training workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on approved international standards;
  • Performing management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment;
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulations, code of conduct of the Company (and or project client where applicable);
  • Promoting and enforcing the Company?s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy;
