• Make sure that the food is being prepared well and in accordance with the 5* standards of quality and presentation to optimize guest satisfaction
• Train and develop new and existing kitchen staff
• Ensure that the overall cleanliness and the health and safety aspects of the kitchen are maintained at all times in accordance to HACCP standards
• Responsible for proper storage, labeling and use of all food supplies to prevent unnecessary spoilage and to maintain cost control
• Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently from menu planning, inventory control, scheduling and to ordering of kitchen supplies
