EU Projects Manager ? ResearcherResponsibilities:Project management of EU projects:

• Lead on the successful implementation of all EU programme deliverables and develop and manage an implementation timetable for the project, working with the Programme Coordinator to ensure delivery of project targets to a high quality and within the contracted timeframe and budget;
• Plan project activities, supporting project leads to ensure detailed project implementation plans are in place, understood by team members and effectively implemented as scheduled;
• Develop designated project deliverables, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
• Track progress against programme objectives, ensuring full completion as per programme work plans;
• Ensure effective systems to monitor and evaluate the quality of project delivery are in place;
• Develop and oversee implementation of comprehensive and cost-effective project visibility and communication strategies, reaching out all project stakeholders;
• Ensure quality reporting of project achievements and documenting of best practices and lessons learnt in the course of implementation;
• Work closely with support departments (Finance and ??) to ensure adequate support is provided to support programme delivery.

Budget Management

• Be responsible for designated project budgets, including monitoring expenditure against budget lines and ensuring funds are properly utilised in meeting project objectives.
• Financial reporting

Requirements:

• University Degree in International & European Studies, Political, Economic and Social Sciences
• Master?s degree and/or international experience will be considered an asset
• Possibility of relocation to Cyprus
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the field of EU projects implementation, in a high pressure and demanding environment
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of EU policy and decisions with regard to education, social issues, technology, environment, territorial cooperation etc.
• Responsibility, consistency and adherence to strict deadlines.
• Proven track records in drafting, and implementing EU funded projects.
• Travel availability (Schengen and non-Schengen)
• Research and analysis skills
• Highly skilled in software and internet applications applicable to an executive office environment, deep knowledge of Microsoft Word (Text Formatting with Paragraph Styles), Excel (Pivot Tables) Outlook (mail merge), Google Analytics and Social Media
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Flexibility with work hours and ability to respond to rapidly changing demands
• Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Creative thinking, open-mindedness, and adaptability
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent writing, translation, and communication skills in English
