Supply Chain Assistant - WarehouseDepartment Lebanon Workplace Bekaa Contract Type National contract Deadline 01 June 2022 DRC has been responding to various humanitarian crises in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian, Iraqi and Syrian refugees. DRC received registration from the Ministry of Interior in 2011, and since then has focused primarily on responding to the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon and the resulting impact on Lebanese host community. DRC Lebanon?s focus is to ensure that we are able to respond to critical emerging humanitarian needs whilst improve the living conditions of displacement-affected populations and contribute to the achievement of durable solutions. With an annual portfolio of $12million, and with approximately 200+ staff, DRC is focusing its response in protection and economic recovery (Ec-Rec) sector in Bekka, North Lebanon and Beirut. DRC is also contributing to the evidence base and coordination structures in country through our Evidence Generation and referral information management (RIMs) teams.About the jobResponsible for all DRC warehouses activities and operations in Bekaa, and general logistics support to the program according to the operational handbook.Your main duties and responsibilities will be:* Oversee the warehouse operations in Bekaa. Control storage, movement and receipts/issue of inventory as per DRCs procedure and warehouse operations handbook; * Match physical quantities against receipt/ release documents and ensure that inventory records (Bin card & Stock Cards) match physical inventory; * Update and track inventory files and shipping documents, ensure proper filing routines; * Control the storage conditions (general condition and cleanness, etc.); * Control that the stacking of items is appropriate and safe; * Check the quality of the inventory, if the bottom layer is elevated from the floor and if items are damaged; * Ensure that Bin Card s & Stock Cards are timely updated; * Check that the Layout & Storage plan is updated and matching the physical placement of inventory in the storage area; * Check the completeness of documents, handling and filing routines, in the storage area and in the warehouse office (receipt, signatures, updating, etc.); * Ensure the correctness of documents, such as Incoming/Outgoing Shipment reports, Waybills, GRNs (if requested), Inspection reports, etc. and ensure they are finalized and delivered to DRC office as instructed; * Ensure that all warehouse reports including stock report are updated and shared to the support services team leader on monthly basis. * In case of inventory discrepancies investigate and notify Support services Team Leader as soon as possible. * Inspect the general condition of the warehouse premises; * Ensure cleanliness of the building and premises, and ensure that waste disposal routines are environmentally friendly; * Undertake quarterly physical verification exercise of inventories; * Liaise with the transportation and shipping companies in order to receive and transfer stock as per the program needs. * Prepare all shipping and transferring related documents as per DRC procedure * Maintain all Warehouse related document on the main office shared drive (Supply Chain folder). * Asses the need and arrange for outsourcing warehouse workers when needed. * Participate in periodic warehouse stock count. * Perform warehouse activity on DRC Dynamics. * Perform other duties as required.About you:To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Diploma or equivalent professional qualification.
