The jobholder will be responsible for engaging with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of the implementation as per the project requirements.Major ActivitiesLead on the youth committees componentEngage with local government to advocate for the inclusion of non-Lebanese youth in the youth committees.Mobilize the community to maintain and establish youth municipal councils in partnership with six different municipalities and community groups as per the grant agreement.Lead and coordinate the capacity building of the youth groups to deliver the outcomes effectively and keeping them fully engaged during the project implementationSupport the youth in the needs assessment process to generate evidence in creative manner for the identified priorities.Support the youth to engage with the local government and community stakeholders to disseminate the assessment findings and lead on designing, planning and implementing local development projects.Ensure compliance with WV standards in procurement, financial, monitoring, visibility and reportingSupport the project manager in the monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports (financial and operational) on the proceedings of the project(s) for the assigned communities.Follow up on Local and National componentsCoach the youth to utilize evidence to engage with the local government to plan and implement local advocacy projects aiming to promote social cohesion.Mobilize the youth by connecting them with a range of local and national youth networks to strengthen their advocacy efforts while offering them the chance to share experiences, acquire new skills and raise their voices in youth forums.Contribute to the youth resolve national advocacy component to ensure proper representation and support from the youth committee representatives.Build strong relationship and development understanding in the communityBuild positive and constructive relationships with community members and partners in order to understand their realities and facilitate development processes effectively.Strengthen the understanding of community development and ownership and of social sustainability among the stakeholders in the areaHandle Staff Management & Day to day workProvide leadership and coaching to the direct reports in terms of technical child protection and youth empowermentManagement of the performance of direct reports with continuous feedback to ensure proper performance management.Develop teamwork among the project staff, ensuring a conducive working atmosphere is created and opportunities provided to share lessons learned, experiences, observations and challenges to inform project managementTogether with the project manager provide opportunities for capacity building to direct staff to ensure coordinated technical and personal development.Ensure compliance with donor and World Vision?s policies and technical tools set in placePerform other duties as requiredAttend trainings locally and internationally.Attend and participate in WVL?s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESUniversity degree in a field related to community development or social workMinimum of 4 years? experience in community development work, mainly in youth empowerment and local government support projects.Excellent command of written and oral English and ArabicGood understanding of community development concepts and practicesKnowledge of project planning and implementationProven experience in team management.Solid communication, interpersonal, negotiation and relation management skills and experienceProven ability to work effectively and sensibly in cross-cultural settings and complex environmentsExperience in working with youth in development projects.Basic understanding of design, monitoring, and evaluation processesDevelopment facilitation skills , including catalyzing, connecting, and building the capacity of community groupsExperience in building and maintaining relationships and networks with individuals, communities and development partners.Applicant Types Accepted:Local Applicants OnlyOur vision for every child, life in all its fullness.
