Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable neurosurgeon to be responsible for performing surgeries to assist in rectifying medical conditions that affect the spinal cord, brain, and peripheral nerves. The neurosurgeon will oversee and coordinate a team of surgeons and nurses to perform surgeries to remove tumors, relieve chronic pain, and treat wounds, vascular disorders, and diseases.Neurosurgeon Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and coordinating teams of surgeons and nurses in the operating theater.
  • Operating microscopes for surgeries to perform microsurgeries.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting results of diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, PET scans, and CT scans.
  • Assessing and diagnosing patients, prescribing treatments, and monitoring the patients progress.
  • Meeting with families of patients in surgery and keeping them updated.
  • Handling unscheduled emergency surgeries.
  • Working with psychiatrists, therapists, and neurologists, and consulting with other departments.
  • Performing basic administrative and business tasks, such as keeping records, writing prescriptions, and filling out paperwork.
  • Keeping up with new discoveries and attending academic conferences.
Requirements:
  • MBBS from an accredited institution.
  • PhD or specialization Board (or equivalent) in relevant specialty from an accredited institution. (In case of specialization from Royal College, CCT or CCST certificate is needed)
  • 5+ years clinical experience after specialization certificate.
  • Valid and active license to practice medicine in country of origin.
  • In-depth knowledge of current medical treatments and procedures.
  • Adherence to up-to-date guidelines.
  • Great attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to think and act quickly in a stressful environment.
  • Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
  • Experience prescribing appropriate medications, treatments and health regimens to treat patient health issues.
  • Experience collaborating with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues.
  • Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
