About the jobAbout IHS TowersFounded in 2001 by the trio of Sam Darwish, William Saad and Mohamad Darwish, along with a strong team of telecoms engineers, IHS is one of the largest independent tower operators in Africa and the fourth largest independent multinational tower operator globally.The RoleWe are seeking a Manager to work within the existing M&A, Commercial and Strategy functions and will be focused on the Middle East and North Africa region and could also include assisting in other IHS priority markets. The M&A team is a five-person team that is very active and has executed six transactions in the past 18 months.?In addition to this, the Manager will also be involved in the Commercial and Strategy team supporting organic revenue growth through tower build and colocation projects, and new product and business development for expansion into the wider digital infrastructure space.?The Group relies on strong communication and the ability to build relationships quickly both within our business and externally. Interaction with senior team members at Group and country operation level will be necessary and frequent. We are continuing in a high growth phase of development and have made recent acquisitions in Latin America and the Middle East. We are looking to recruit a high-energy, skilled, and professional individual to support decision making that will determine the future shape and success of the business.M&A Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in end-to-end transaction execution
  • Conduct detailed analysis of market opportunities and target companies, including analysing inbound financial models and data
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial and valuation modelling from first principles
  • Prepare materials for Executive Committee and Board Review
  • Perform industry competitive analysis
  • Measure financial risk associated with specific investments
  • Assist with managing the due diligence process and liaising with external advisors, such as investment banks and due diligence advisors, in M&A and financing transactions
  • Making financial recommendations and presenting findings clearly and concisely to senior executives
Commercial and Strategy Responsibilities
  • Focus on commercial decision support, providing commercial analysis and advice around revenue and pricing strategy
  • Scenario analysis and investment appraisals; preparing business cases for ExCo level reviews
  • Analysis of commercial and new business propositions that IHS will implement in its markets of operations
  • Prepare customer presentations and RFP responses
  • Assist and advise the country MDs and CDs on commercial offers
  • Prepare research reports on new business opportunities
  • Understand and convey key risks and mitigants for new business
  • Due diligence of new opportunities, including understanding tax, legal, regulatory and operational landscape
