Laboratory Assistant (FT), Dermatology ResearchLebanon, NH, USAAllied HealthPost Date Nov 08, 2021Requisition # 210004KPPurpose:Performs a range of molecular immunology research tasks, CRIPSR editing and next generation sequencing, focused on the development of new immune mediated therapeutic approaches for melanoma.The Department of Dermatology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center has an active translational research program focused on improving our understanding and treatment of diseases of the skin. Current areas of research include immune signaling in psoriasis and novel approaches for the prevention and treatment of skin cancers. We are seeking motivated, creative and intellectually engaged individuals who are eager to employ cutting edge genome editing and next generation sequencing research tools in an academic research environment.Responsibilities:1. Participates in the initiation, management, and completion of experiments in support of genome engineering and next generation sequencing experiments in cell culture based studies.2. Prepares data and documents for study sponsors.3. Works with study investigators to help develop and test new techniques and procedures. Assists with composition of detailed research protocol documents.4. Assists with the production of study documents for publication in journals and at meetings.5. Maintains a clear, up to date, and well-documented laboratory notebook.6. Carries out basic laboratory experiments using basic molecular biology skills including PCR, PAGE, cell culture and molecular cloning7. Communicates with supervisor, lab members and partner labs.8. Obtains protocol specific training as deemed necessary by the supervisor.9. Performs other duties as required or assigned.Minimum Qualifications:+ High school graduate required.+ Coursework toward a college degree preferred.+ Previous laboratory experience preferred.+ Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment required.Required Licensure/Certification Skills:None
