Various Locations AvailableMarion, Hardin, Washington County * Head StartDescription:The Head Start Instructional Assistant helps in planning and establishing a learning environment and with implementing a daily program for child development activities designed to meet the individual needs of each child in the classroom. The Instructional Assistant coordinates with other component staff to involve parents in education activities to enhance their role as the prime educator of their children. The instructional Assistant assists with planned structured activities and active supervision for pre-school age children participating in the program. Activities associated with the job include implementing lesson plans using Frog Street Curriculum, conducting two Parent/Teacher Conferences per year, two home visits per year, participating in and assisting with staff training activities and ensuring the thorough and timely completion of children?s classroom records. Normal working days: Weekdays This is a full-time position. Hourly ?non-exempt? position.Requirements:Applicants preferred to at least have a High School diploma/GED/or equivalent.
