We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.ROLE PURPOSEThe Gender Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of a gender focused project.DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLEUnder the direct supervision of the GBV SRHR Programme Manager the Gender Project Coordinator is in charge of the implementation of a gender focused project that aims to increase the sustained influence of Girls and Young Women (GYW) on decision-making and the transformation of gender norms in formal and informal institutions.ACCOUNTABILITIESProject Monitoring and Implementation? Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework for the project in coordination with the MERL Coordinator, GBV SRHR Programme Manager and partner organizations. ? Work closely with technical focal points to ensure support, capacity building, and training development for partner staff. ? Assume responsibility in the delivery of quality services for partner beneficiaries throughout all project implementation cycle. ? Provide coordination and administrative support in developing and carrying out partner staff training and development ? Maintain coordination and communication between the GBV SRHR Programme Manager and partner staff for ensuring the quality of processes and outputs. ? Ensure the participation and involvement of relevant stakeholders in project activities, including the Technical and Steering Committees team, so that the process is inclusive, participatory and transparent ? Maintain ongoing surveillance of the developing humanitarian and security situation in target areas and adjust activities accordingly. ? Ensure field supervision of the project operations in order to ensure the project is implemented in line with planned activities and expected outcomes. ? Collect, update and share information related to project progress with GBV SRHR Programme Manager. ? Ensure the timeliness and quality of the outputs as well as timely preparation of reports on achievements and challenges faced within the project; ? Maintain regular communication and visits for project sites to ensure that the project achieves the goal. ? Ensure timely submission of work plans and budget forecasts to GBV SRHR Programme Manager. ? Follow up on financial liquidation/settlement/ reports according to Plan?s procedures and submit spending reports for review and approvals. ? Ensure that all Plan International and key donor compliance rules and regulations are adhered to for both Plan Lebanon and implementing partner.Coordination, Communication and Reporting? Contribute to documentation of technical/program approaches, lessons learned, and success stories ? Establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with government, institutions, partner organizations, and local NGOs in target areas. ? Attend working groups and task force meetings on national/ local levels as required. ? Ensure adequate and accurate reporting of data on Activity Info, internal databases, and Sitreps. ? Draft and input into weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for both internal and external purposes. ? Ensures that Plan International?s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and Plan International?s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.KEY RELATIONSHIPS- Internal: Programmes Team, GBV Team, Finance team, PDQ team, Operations team - External: Partners, partners? staff working on the same projectTECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEDemonstrable knowledge and understanding of:? The context in Lebanon, particularly on issues affecting the rights of girls and young women. ? Local laws in Lebanon relating to human rights, children?s rights and gender equality. ? Global minimum standards, including the IASC Guidelines on Gender, GBV, and MHPSS and Protection principles. ? Adherence to Plan International?s Child Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct/Prevention of Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (PSEA), and other relevant humanitarian standards and policies. ? Project management and coordination of NGOs/CSOsQualifications and Experience? Minimum 3 years of experience working in a humanitarian context ? Minimum 2 years of experience working in project coordination, management, lobbying and advocacy, and meaningful youth participation ? Strong experience in Gender/GBV programming ? Experience in networking with CSOs and relevant governmental institutions ? Bachelor degree (master?s degree is an asset) in social work, psychology, sociology, international relations or any other related field ? Proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelSkills? Strong commitment to safeguarding and gender policies both inside and outside the workplace. ? Excellent facilitation skills and ability to deliver trainings. ?
