Primary Location: United States of America-OHIO-Warren County Compensation : $29.75 per hour Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisor 1 (LeCI) ( 2200054J )DescriptionThe mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS ) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans .Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisor 1Job location:Lebanon Correctional Institution (LeCI)3791 State Route 63Lebanon, Ohio 45036Warren CountyThe Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisor 1may be a great fit for you!The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS)provides statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by Ohioans.The Bureau of Correctional Recovery Servicesworks with offenders in Ohio?s prisons to instill an improved sense of responsibility and the ability to become law-abiding citizens.Recovery Services Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisorsuse evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the treatment of offenders in prison who are in need of substance abuse recovery programming.Duties of the Behavioral Healthcare Provider Supervisorinclude, but are not limited to:Manages the day-to-day operation of the institution Recovery Services program: develops & implements the policies & procedures for the program, assist with program budget planning, when applicable coordinates & participates in quality assurance activities; participates in personnel management tasks including recruitment, interviewing, training & recommendations for hire; supervises employees assigned to the recovery services program; directs & manages treatment activities of the Recovery Services staff (Correctional Program Coordinators); provides in-service training & evaluations; maintains necessary data documents required by OhioMHAS & Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC). Provides AOD treatment services to inmates in the program (e.g., treatment planning, progress notes, AOD education, individual & group counseling). Serves as institution representative on statewide committees for AOD related issues; must conduct themselves professionally, & in a law-abiding manner at all times & in accordance with the ODRC & OhioMHAS Standards of Employee Conduct; attends meetings, conferences, workshops as directed; assists with public relations for programs; serves on institution committees; performs security functions; performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsLicensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) by Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board. - Or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board. - Or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) by Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board. -or Licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy Board. - Or Licensed Registered Nurse with certificate of authority as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Certified Nurse Practitioner with specialty certification in Mental Health or Psychiatry as issued by Ohio Board of Nursing . - And in addition to licensure must have 12 mos. exp. providing clinical supervision in behavioral healthcare services (e.g., counseling, group services, crisis intervention). - Or 12 mos. exp. as Behavioral Healthcare Provider 2, 65832. - Or 12 mos. exp. as Correctional Program Coordinator, 69323. Knowledge of departmental regulations; governmental regulations, policies & procedures; supervisory principles/ techniques; public administration; management; safety practices; crisis interventions; budgeting; employee training & development; types & effects of psychotropic medications; interviewing. Ability to interpret variety of instructions in written or oral form; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw conclusions; deal with many variables & determine specific action; understand practical field of social work; interpret extensive variety of technical material in books, journals & manuals; write meaningful, concise & accurate reports; interpret threatening situations. Skill in word processing (Microsoft office, eCW*); equipment operation (copier, fax).
