The Network Firewall and Security candidate will leverage their technical expertise in network security, coupled with strong leadership skills, to ensure the robustness and integrity of the organizations network infrastructure. This role demands collaboration with various departments, emphasizing teamwork and effective communication.Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of network security technologies, including firewall systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and security protocols.- Deploy and manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, ensuring efficient monitoring and analysis of network security events.- Showcase expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining security policies and procedures.- Possess an excellent understanding of security architecture, vulnerability assessments, and incident response protocols.- Utilize problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to provide effective solutions to security-related issues.- Be available for on-call duties and work outside of regular business hours when required.Education & Experience:- Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Security).- Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security and firewall management.- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA Security, CCNP Security) would be advantageous.Must Have:- Technical proficiency in network security with a focus on firewall technologies.- Leadership skills to effectively guide and collaborate with cross-functional security teams.- Hands-on experience in deploying and managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.- Expertise in designing and implementing security policies and procedures.- In-depth understanding of security architecture and incident response protocols.- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills for effective security issue resolution.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Good to Have:- Familiarity with Sophos Firewall and other security technologies.- Knowledge of cloud-based security solutions (e.g., AWS Security, Azure Security).- Experience with scripting languages for automation, especially in the context of security operations (e.g., Python).- Understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts in a security context.- Availability and willingness to work on-call and outside of regular business hours.
