ThinkWell is an international health systems development organization focused on using tailored health financing approaches to help low- and middle-income countries achieve universal health coverage. We believe that effective health financing systems are essential to ensuring health services are well resourced, high quality, accessible, and do not cause financial impoverishment by those who use them. ThinkWell employs a ?whole-of-systems? approach to health financing. We specialize in five practice areas that intersect with health financing: governance, human resources for health, private sector, public financial management, and research and evaluation.ThinkWell has a growing portfolio of projects in Pakistan and is building a team of talented and motivated staff. ThinkWell is recruiting a Technical Advisor to grow our work in the space of strategic purchasing for primary health care services (PHC).The Technical Advisor serves as a subject matter expert in health financing and strategic purchasing and leverages that expertise to support the technical program implementation of one or more projects in Pakistan. The Technical Advisor provides technical advice and strategic guidance to internal project teams and external partners (government ministries, local entities, etc.) to promote the design and execution of improved purchasing arrangements for PHC services in Pakistan. The Technical Advisor brings strong quantitative skills and research capacity (typically in health economics, health financing, and strategic purchasing) as well as a solid understanding of the design, implementation, and evaluation of health financing policy reform.The Technical Advisor will be based in Sindh and will report to the Pakistan Country Director.Please note: Pakistan nationals are encouraged to apply. This position includes a national benefits package and does not include international relocation or expatriate benefits. This position is contingent upon funding.What you?ll doTechnical Leadership

• Provide direct technical assistance to ensure high-quality program results and execution across projects in health financing.
• Contribute to work planning, coordinating external partners, and leading engagement in collaborative projects.
• Develop monitoring, evaluation, research and learning tools, indicators, and plans.
• Ensure production of high-quality learning outputs. Provide written input into technical documents, project status reports, blogs, and articles for publication and dissemination on ThinkWell?s website, external sites, and at conferences.
• Communicate with other ThinkWell technical advisors globally to build, share, exchange, and disseminate technical knowledge.
• Recruit, support, and mentor outstanding team members in the area of health financing and strategic purchasing; dotted line management responsibility for technical team members.
• Collaborate with other parts of the organization to design technical training and development activities that will support and build professional development.
• Represent ThinkWell in Pakistan to influence ongoing discussions around health financing reforms more broadly and the purchasing of primary health care using learnings ThinkWell?s work in-country and abroad.
• Build project portfolio in health financing in collaboration with Design Lab, program managers, and other firm and country leaders.
• Collaborate with Design Lab to collect and pursue new business information and contacts
• Publish papers, articles, and blogs. Present at conferences/participate in technical working groups on ThinkWell project-related technical innovations, priorities, and results. Build ThinkWell?s reputation as a thought leader in the field.
• Consult and coordinate with key stakeholders within government, donors, and other entities to build the ThinkWell program division and reputation.
• Play a firm-wide leadership role and participate in company initiatives and teams to build intellectual and human capital in health financing.

Organizational Leadership and Development
