Senior Research Assistant, Department of Paediatrics & Child HealthOrganization: Aga Khan UniversityLocation: Karachi, PakistanIntroductionThe Aga Khan University was founded in 1983 as Pakistan?s first private university. Aga Khan University is a not-for-profit institution and an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network. Starting in 2000, the University expanded to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom and Afghanistan. AKU began life as a health-sciences university.Responsibilities You will be responsible to:

  • ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of research related activities
  • liaison with PI and CTU team for research related activities.
  • identify eligible participants and administer informed consent
  • facilitate meetings among the research teams and train research staff on research, interviewing and proper data collection skills
  • manage data, complete CRFs/ Queries resolution and logging participant?s information
  • assist PI and study coordinator in submitting reports i.e., adverse event, progress report etc.
  • follow and ensure field implementation of project related SOPs and guidelines as defined in the research project
  • prepare and present periodic project related activity reports.
Requirements You should have:
  • at least a Graduate (bachelor?s in science preferred)
  • preferably research experience of 6-12 months
  • ability to multitask several projects
  • excellent team player
  • basic research and good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • good command over the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
  • resilience and ability to cope-up with work pressure and meet stringent timelines.
