Your work will have a direct impact on billions of people around the world ? helping unlock financial access to enable the future of money movement.Join Visa: A Network Working for Everyone.The Risk Manager (RM) serves as the face of Risk for a select portfolio of clients in GCC, North Africa, Levant and Pakistan (NALP).Externally, the RM ?s obligation is to ensure Visa?s interactions with clients, merchants, and other third parties on risk related matters are well informed, effective, and collectively moving the Visa ecosystem towards a stronger state.Internally, the RM Manager?s obligation is to leverage our market knowledge and presence to ensure Visa?s risk related policies, programs and frameworks are aligned with current and future business demands.Principle Responsibilities and Key Results Areas:

  • Develop and execute client engagement plans and materials to help clients optimize fraud performance, mitigate fraud and data compromise events, promote stronger authentication and data security, and help enforce Visa?s external risk programs and policies.
  • Align Visa?s risk related objectives and activities with Visa?s business goals in the same area to maximize long term growth.
  • Promote Visa Risk Products and Solutions within the assigned clients portfolio to differentiate Visa in the Payments Ecosystem
  • Differentiate Visa by demonstrating thought leadership to payment system stakeholders on risk issues, pulling from local, regional, and global sources.
  • Ensure strong communication and provide marketplace feedback around Visa?s risk related programs and policies, and other activities.
  • Provide Risk analytics support to the entire GCC & NALP Risk team for existing clients & other stakeholder engagements.
  • Lead ad hoc projects in support of overall risk and corporate initiatives.
Financial and Organizational Scope:
  • The Risk Management Manager does not have staff management responsibilities.
  • The Risk Management Manager reports to the Head of Risk for the GCC & NALP sub regions The Risk Management Manager may manage a financial year T&E and meeting budget under the guidance and within the cost center of the Head of Risk for the GCC & NALP Sub Regions.
  • As a risk expert, she or he will collaborate with CEMEA Risk team members, Heads of Risk for GCC & NALP subregions, client account executives, data scientists and product leaders to deliver innovative risk strategies, fraud reduction opportunities and payment system intelligence.
Key Competencies
  • Ability to communicate effectively at medium to high level management within Visa and externally.
  • Working in a team and to develop cross functional working relationships.
  • Develop an understanding of the initiatives to drive towards the risk management vision in the subregions and prioritize activities to successfully implement initiatives.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Qualifications
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience in risk management or digital payments experience gained through consumer banking or technology products or card operations with a Bachelor?s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (such as Masters, MBA, MSc
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and related software
  • Data analysis skills: Intellectually curious, finds stories in the data, asks the right questions, demonstrated track record of mining data and intelligence for game changing insights that generate big impacts
  • Payments Risk or Security or Payments related Certifications or knowledge or relevant technical skills are an advantage
  • Consumer banking, card operations and risk management expertise
  • Understanding Visa?s risk operations, products, and services
  • Team work and proven track record of cross functional collaboration across diverse teams and markets
  • Presentation, negotiation and training skills
  • Deep experience and technical knowledge of Payments Risk is an advantage
  • Flexible and resilient individual as demonstrated by adaptability, professional maturity, and ability to manage by influence
  • Fluency in business written and spoken English is required.
