Job Description

Research Specialist, F4HE, Department of˙Obstetrics and GynaecologyLocationKarachi, PakistanIntroductionThe Aga Khan University is a private, international university committed to international standards of excellence in teaching, research, and service. Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International for achieving the highest international healthcare standards.This is a grant-funded contractual position.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:

  • develop evidence-based content for parenting education Supervise and monitor timely visits of participants? for follow ups
  • co lead all research activities under the supervision of principal investigator
  • develop SoPs and manual of operation for study activities
  • provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study;
  • ensure the completeness, proper filings, and manage the research log framework and ERC submissions
  • develop and implement QA QC plan with documentation and reporting
  • prepare and compilation of study progress report
  • prepare monthly project reports in collaboration with the Data Manager
  • Present the study results as per the requirement
  • develop high quality research proposals for funding agency; conduct research and contribute in publications.
RequirementsYou should have:
  • a Master?s degree in epibio/ education or nursing with an interest/certificate in early childhood or equivalent qualifications. However, certification and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices will be an added advantage
  • at least five years of experience in Health/Nursing/Education
  • expertise in training teams according to protocol
  • willingness for frequent travel to different locations for overseeing quality assurance of departmental research projects and training of local staff
  • highly organized and self-motivated
  • excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to work in team
  • integrity and strong research ethics
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • strong computer skills.
