Job Description

IntroductionThe Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. Specific responsibilities include to:

  • develop training material and conduct regular training of staff on research
  • effectively manage field work processes to ensure efficiency
  • conduct interviews independently and taking thorough notes during observational visits and interviews
  • Laison with government department for necessary approval
  • prepare and present weekly project related activity report
  • Data analysis and report writing
  • supervise and manage staff
RequirementsYou should have:
  • a bachelor?s degree, Master will be preferred
  • two to three relevant experience
  • good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • proficiency in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
  • ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
  • ability to work effectively in teams and resilience to cope-up with work pressure
  • good report writing skills and willingness to work in the community settings and travel to field sites.
