Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International for achieving the highest international healthcare standards.The Centre for Innovation in Medical Education (CIME) is the only one of its kind in South Asia to be accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) meeting international standards for simulation based education, innovation, and pedagogical research. This is an exciting time as the Centre expands to new AKU campuses in Nairobi and Kampala. The Centre is committed to working with partners in healthcare, education and clinical practice to enrich educational experiences and improve healthcare outcomes and patient safety.Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Research Associate in the Centre for Innovation in Medical Education.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:

  • prepare evaluations and collect data on events, workshops and simulation based education activities
  • design and conduct action research on innovative teaching and learning programs
  • maintain documentation and write reports
  • participate in general CIME activities for the purpose of maintaining currency and developing skills and knowledge in simulation based education.
RequirementsYou should have:
  • Bachelor?s Degree in Health Care from an HEC recognised or reputable foreign university/institution
  • potential for developing skills and knowledge in simulation based research
  • academic writing skills and advanced organizational abilities
  • experience in SPSS and be able to do systematic literature reviews
  • ability to multi task several projects
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
This is one year contractual based position.
