Careem operates in over 70 cities across 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan.About the teamFCR (Financial Close & Reporting) team is a combination of experienced, young, and talented individuals who always accept the new challenges and milestones. The team, divided into sub-functions of financial accounting and reporting, is an integral part of the Global Finance team and is responsible for the entire accounting process, financial reporting, group consolidation, and audit. The position reports to Financial Reporting Manager.What youll do

  • Operate fixed assets module in accounting software system to run fixed assets accounting efficiently.
  • Reconcile fixed asset register with GL balances to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain lease models, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Post lease accounting entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile lease GL balances with lease models.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules as well as lease schedules.
  • Perform month-over-month variance analysis for multiple GL account heads.
  • Prepare financial statements notes and schedules in compliance with IFRS and GAAP.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting matters.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
What youll need
  • CA Finalist / ACCA Qualified.
  • 4+ years of overall professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Oracle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Results oriented, strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
