About the job Import and Export SpecialistPosition: Import and Export SpecialistLocation:KarachiQualification:Minimum bachelors, preferably in procurement and/or supply chain management, business administration, or related areas.Experience:Minimum 5-7 years of relevant working experienceRequirements:

  • Knowledge and relations with customs, export shipping regulations and policies.
  • Knowledge of EPZA regulations.
  • Computer skills MS Office, SAP, ARIBA.
  • Certification in clearing, forwarding & IATA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the site team for any export and incoming shipments, ensuring timely arrangements and deliveries.
  • Follow up with the site team for complete dimensions and specifications of cargo so that accurate shipping documents can be prepared.
  • Review, validate, and share shipping documents, ensuring consignments are labeled before leaving the site.
  • Maintain a database of both import and export shipments.
  • Coordinate with the transport team for timely deliveries of consignments from the site to the port/airport under customs escort.
  • Track original shipping documents and ensure that the broker receives them before consignment arrival at the port/airport.
  • Regular follow-up with customs brokers for the timely clearance and delivery of consignments.
  • Prepare insurance memos for each consignment and share them with the broker.
  • Process customs agents bills and ensure their timely payment.
  • Monitor and track import consignments, informing the site team once shipments arrive at their destination.
  • File and archive all import documents.
  • Report any problems or irregularities in import/export activities promptly.
  • Coordinate with EPZA and customs representatives at the site.
