The incumbent is responsible to embed Safety in business by means of EHS systems and culture and to provide guidance on interpretation of various EHS standards as applicable to particular situations. The incumbent monitors, reports and analyzes Incident information across Rx. Key responsibilities: Primary responsibilities: Manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives. Prepare the policy documents and standardized processes on regular basis Prepare and implements plans to build and promote a sustainable Safety Culture at Rx. Monitor performance of all locations on Global KPI?s and co-ordinate development of corrective action plans Interact with Corporate EHS to remain updated on EHS policies/developments in the field Carry out knowledge management and benchmarking within and outside GSK to identify the improvement opportunities Participate in the investigation of incidents, near misses and fatalities Ensure follow-up is done to minimize future exposure and proper records/documents are maintained. Conduct, coordinate and track various training to support company programs. Conduct routine safety observations and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, company environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures and practices. Maintain internal and regulatory reporting including data collection and reporting Serve as primary contact for queries with respect to Motor Vehicle Safety in Rx. Maintain compliance with permits, government regulations and other industry practices. Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact the organization. Secondary responsibilities: Ability to take necessary steps to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Participate in meetings to discuss workplace safety and regulatory concerns and opportunities. Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards. Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors and employees. Special projects as required.
