This person will be responsible for developing and executing Visa?s external communications strategy, to advance the company?s business interests primarily in Pakistan and key North Africa, Levant and Pakistan (NALP) markets. The candidate will also support internal and client communications strategies specific to Pakistan as part of the larger NALP communications team.This position is in Karachi, Pakistan, and will report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Visa for the North Africa, Levant and Pakistan - NALP region, based in Dubai, UAE.˙ ˙An ideal candidate is an experienced communications generalist, who excels at working collaboratively but who requires minimal supervision in delivering high-quality work. The ideal candidate is curious, creative, has a strong storytelling mindset and is a good writer and digital creator, is energetic and strives to become a strategic business partner to other functional leads.Principle Responsibilities & Key Results Area

  • Proactively execute efficient and timely communications strategies against defined goals and metrics that align to and support the regional business development priorities.
  • Create a steady stream of content including but not limited to key messages, frequently asked questions, videos, presentations, blog posts, articles etc. across multiple channels as part of an ongoing communications calendar.
  • Raise awareness of the company and improve its corporate reputation among critical audiences as measured by media coverage, message pull-through and, where possible, perception audits.
  • Direct and manage communications agencies to enhance external perceptions of Visa and meet business objectives.
  • Work with business units˙to develop and manage specific project-based campaigns and communications plans, ensure appropriate implementation through˙communications agency,˙monitors and manages against targets.
  • Manage corporate profiling for˙key spokespeople and˙develop a proactive plan where relevant
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key media representatives, pitching stories in an appropriate and effective way˙with a particular focus on˙Tier1 outlets in markets of responsibility.
  • Support crisis & issues management.
  • Oversee media monitoring and create reports as relevant
  • Manage budgets for the indicated markets, communications agencies, and campaigns.
  • Liaise with major partners to develop shared strategy and messages for significant launches.
  • Create speeches, experiences, videos, presentations, social media content, visuals, and other communications.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in communications, corporate communications, PR, or nonprofit mission-driven communications.
  • Fluent in English and Urdu - spoken and written
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing and publishing skills
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, comfortable managing spreadsheets, devising formulas, and performing data analysis
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong business acumen in understanding business and payments ecosystem, strategic imperatives and priorities, data privacy, innovation, products payments, and fintech, digital currency, crypto, budget development and planning, Visa?s policies, standards, guidelines, and processes.
