Site Name: Pakistan - Sindh - Karachi Posted Date: Oct 25 2022 Job Purpose: The Close & Control Specialist is responsible for the assisting in the performance of the finance team for their market and legal entity by delivering right first-time reporting which is insightful, fast and supports the business to develop accurate plans in a strong controls and assurance environment. The role helps to deliver the Finance vision of a ?world class finance function recognised by industry, the profession and our people? which underpins the GSK vision. Strong expertise in local and regional accounting principles and ensure that are applied to the financial statements. Furthermore, need to be able to accurately implement controls & compliance for audit. Education & Experience: Qualified CA with completion of articleship from big 4 audit firms and PQE of 0-1 years in firm or industry. Qualified ACCA with 4 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in audit firms or in finance department. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger & Accounting operations General ledger maintenance Work closely with LoC finance/ shared services finance and site finance teams to ensure a smooth month end and year end closing Assistance in preparation of monthly bank reconciliations and clearing open items on a regularly basis Assistance in review to ensure completeness and accuracy of bank related GL posting timeline Assistance in preparation and review of fixed assets accounting Coordinating with internal and external auditors as needed while ensuring readiness Assistance in preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations (BSRs) Assistance in completion of monthly controls related to Close & Control. Assist in the implementation of process simplification and efficiencies.
