  • Implement strategies and plans to achieve budgeted revenue and to place the Marine & Protective Business on a sustainable growth track. Fortify position in existing segments, while aggressively targeting & commercializing new business opportunities, with a high focus on ramping up sales of products under the AkzoNobel portfolio.
Key Responsibilities1. HSE and Core Values
  • Responsible for complying with the companys ethics, HSE & PS policy by himself and within the team.
  • Abide by Company COC without any tolerance.
2. Operational Excellence
  • Responsible for improving the management of Debtors, Outstanding / Ageing, and finished goods stock to meet the OWC target.
  • Manage and grow the MPY Business in the region involving B2B & B2C streams.
  • Responsible for providing techno-commercial support to the Marine & Protective Coating customers in a manner that enables delivery of their respective targets. Actively participate in new business development.
  • Responsible for generating sales revenue from ÿtargeted segments
  • Responsible for providing service level expectations (trouble-free application, smooth operation, timely supplies, and technical assistance) at key accounts.
  • Responsible for managing customer training and new product development in collaboration with R&D, HSE Manager, and Training Manager as required.
  • Responsible for managing and providingÿa five-month rolling forecast for the protective coating segment every month.
  • Responsible for coordinating between materials, planning, production, and distribution departments for the timely manufacture and supply of the paint orders.
3. People Managementÿ
  • Responsible for setting challenging targets with greater accountability for the SOs/SPs in the respective business segment to achieve business targets; worked on developing techno commercial abilities in SOs/SPs, and formulated a formal career ladder, with clear and objective skill level metrics to measure progress.
  • Responsible for implementing a system to coach and provide regular feedback to the team in a formal manner. Improve focus and efforts of coaching & capability enhancement activities within the team.
  • Promote best practices among team members like View Point, Ethics & HSE, etc.
Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in Sales preferably in corporate/institutional sales
  • Must have good knowledge of Marine & Protective Coatings technologyÿ
  • Good written communication skills/ computer knowledge
Education
  • MBA / BSc - Chemistry / MSC - Chemistryÿ
