To provide environment, health and safety (EHS) support in accordance with the requirements of the local EHS legislations (in particular, the Workplace Safety & Health Act, Environmental Protection and Management Act, Fire Safety Act, etc.), GSK Global EHS policies and standards and GSK Global Engineering Standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance to local industry and government regulations, GSK standards, procedures, guidelines at the site and ensure continuous EHS improvement in all work processes. Advise Senior Management on all aspects concerning occupational safety and process safety, occupational hygiene and environmental protection to ensure compliance with corporate EHS and Engineering standards and local statutory requirements. Conduct and ensure maintenance of ?investigation & reporting of EHS adverse events? by all Departments. Ensure that all processes on site have a basis of safety for the prevention of major accident hazard scenarios. Develop, implement and monitor site process safety plan in line with GSK and site-specific objectives. Ensure Machinery Safety compliance and implement ergonomics and human factor program at site. Assist the EHS Manager and Site for implementation of safety initiatives and monitor progress against them at the site Participate in different meetings and forums and provide useful inputs regarding existing EHS issues, and requirements, to achieve the corporate EHS goals. Conduct EHS internal audits Prepare and revise SOPs, method statements, risk assessments etc. Analyze near miss/EHS adverse events data on regular basis and conduct root-cause analysis. Requirements: Degree in Engineering EHS Certification Minimum 2 years experience of managing EHS in an organization and different domains related to Health and Safety. Understanding of the manufacturing process. Must be knowledgeable with industry standards and codes related to occupational safety and design Almost 1 years experience of working in engineering departments for implementation of EHS practices in the process industry. To be able to demonstrate good EHS performance by effective implementation of EHS policies and procedures of the organization.
