Entity: Aga Khan UniversityLocation: KarachiIntroduction:The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level.Job Role / Responsibilities:You will be responsible will be responsible for supervision of statistical aspects of research projects, including study design, protocol development, sample size estimation, subject randomization, statistical analyses, and presentation of data.ÿSpecific responsibilities include to:

• coordinate with administrative and fleet management team for the management of the logistical and administrative affairs as assigned by Vice-Chair Research Office
• look after overall management of the logistical and administrative affairs as assigned by Vice-Chair Research Office
• provide support in the planning, organizing and executing all events, workshops and lectures of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health in coordination with other departmental stake holders (Travel, Accommodation, Venues, Food arrangement, and other logistics)
• ensure that all logistics of events are executed as per the plan and to the satisfaction of the organizing team and faculty members
• prepare costing for the events and coordinate with other support service departments in AKU for administrative purpose and provisioning respective services / items
• developing and implementing stringent and internationally acceptable Programme and Financial Audit systems to adhere to various granting agencies rules and regulations to ensure zero observation in external audits
• communicate (verbally and through written letters/emails) with national and international stakeholders in terms of checking availabilities, extending invitations, confirming participations, and facilitation at the events
• coordinate with all members of Department review committee (DRC) and ensure continuous follow ups with the committee members for the review of research projects submitted and organize the committee meetings accordingly
• ensure that all applications for Ethical review committee (ERC) are timely submitted; coordinate with faculty members and take rigorous follow-ups from both ends during this process
• ensure that all relevant approvals related to National Bioethics Committee (NBC) are obtained before commencement of project activities

• a Masters degree inÿrelevant field from an HEC recognized university
• at least five years ofÿrelated and comparable work experience from a reputable and relevant organization.
• excellent organizational, project management, planning, and problem-solving skills
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu
• strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• the ability to demonstrate sound judgment in managing challenging and sensitive situations
• requires independent judgment and strong organization and communication skills with customer service focus
• stays updated on compliance regulations in all areas of research administration
• timely completion of University?s due diligence process
• should have planning knowledge of Marketing, Financial Management and Strategic
• familiarity with government health system
• capability to manage work independently and take initiative
