Position Title: Assistant Head Nurse, Department of PaediatricsResponsibilities:You will be responsible to

effective patient care management by assessing patients critically, participating in patient care rounds with physician to monitor the quality of the patient care/ environment, responding quickly and appropriately in conflict or crisis in patient care areas and ensure all reportable cases are communicated to HN nurse manager verbally and through shift reports
plan nursing care and health teaching for patients according to theirs need, ensure completion of nursing assessment for all patients by assigned staff in line with standards procedures, and order to report patients? condition accurately to the physicians / supervisor
participate actively in quality improvement projects / nursing research projects / special projects at unit level.
periodically review nursing documentation of patient care of delegated area
allocate assignment on a regular basis and in emergency situation and/or during weekend and public holiday , to team members based on their skill and experience for adequate staff care for patient care management
assess nursing staff learning needs, offer suggestion and materials for students? experience, in order to enhance their clinical learning experience on the wards
provide mentorship for staff/ students and reinforce the unit philosophy and goals to all staffs.

Requirements:You should have:

Baccalaureate in Nursing degree from a recognized school of nursing, preferably a Masters degree in the same
current registration from Pakistan Nursing Council
certification in Basic Life Support, ACLS, PALS, NRP provider, , Safe Medication Administration, Intravenous Cannulation and procedural sedatio
at least two years? experience as a nurse
ability to assess, plan and manage patient care with expertise as per protocols
familiarity with the involvement in the concept of QINP
sound clinical knowledge and management competencies.
excellent interpersonal skills and ability to meet stringent deadlines
ability to effectively work in shifts as well as independently
