You will ensure that all activities comply with standard operating procedures and legal requirements, including data privacy considerations and work with other team members to ensure that end-to-end processes are efficient and accurate, including data input and maintenance. More about this roleWhat you need to know about this position:You will be required to; -Initial screening of sales tax invoice based upon taxation parameters. Assignment of tax coding to each invoice document. (Sales tax and Income tax withholdings)Verification of Posted documents and advice corrective entries -if required Workflow approvals for Direct entries, Law manager etc.Working for Payment proposals and ensuring its successful execution. (Income tax withholdings)Last minute checks for payment proposals and provide corrective entries. Repayment for bank rejections received from bank after every payment run. Liaison with bank team on rejections related matters and fix.Disbursement of Advance payments to vendor after required Approvals. (Capex/ Non-Capex)Follow up for import related documents and its timely posting that helps landed cost. - Processing of Utility, Compliance and Ad-hoc payments (Taxation, Brain child, UGMC, UPRF etc.)Liaison with vendors on invoicing related matters.Support procurement on business related matters regarding vendors (Tax treatments, relevant laws and industry practices etc.)Support AR team on clearance of customer claims.Support tax team on retrieving and arranging required data for tax notices served by authorities.Assist tax team on every month return filings (Sales tax and Income tax) - Liaison with audit team to get through the annual audits, providing support to IC as and when need basis.Provide justification for exceptional treatments done to vendor?s tax withholding to tax team.Documentation of vendor documents for exceptional tax treatments (Exemption certificates, Undertakings, High court notices etc.)Liaison internally with team on new process flows like (Read soft, FPY, IBFT etc.)Monthly GRIR reconciliations, bank reconciliations and taking necessary actions.Month end Activities Includes- Petty Cash Counts, FOGA for sales tax Input, FOGA for Custom duties, Bank related entries, Advance transfer entries, PD Accounts and Accruals etc.Support Users and Master shoppers on COUPA and GRN related matters.
