Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission International for achieving the highest international healthcare standards.Job Role / Responsibilities:Reporting to the Manager, Data Governance you are expected to work as part of the Data Governance team within the Global Data & Analytics Office (GDAO)for the development and implementation of Data Governance policies & frameworks as well as to facilitate and support faculty, staff and students with Data Analytics and other related activities.Specifically, you will be responsible to;

  • working as part of the team to evaluate, procure/ develop and implement data governance systems and tools for the aga khan university which includes marketing it internally
  • working within the team towards regulatory compliance of the organization with Data related laws and rules prescribed by the regional/ industry authority
  • implementing strategies to identify and further build inventory of Data Assets across the institution globally
  • working towards spreading awareness for data related regulations, policies and procedures within the organization
  • developing mechanisms and processes for Data Analytics at AKU to facilitate users with their projects and activities
  • developing plans to centralize and consolidate data assets where feasible keeping in view user requirement, security, and protection
  • working with Data/ Data Science management units within AKU departments to facilitate access to resources for their respective projects
  • developing reports and dashboards to provide a comprehensive view of uptake and progress of projects rolled out to users
  • working to bridge the gap between collaborators from AKU departments and beyond AKU to achieve positive outcomes from collaborative projects/ activities
  • any other task related to Data and Information management assigned by your supervisor.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or a Diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 1 year of experience of working for management of big data in a reputable organization
  • experience with enterprise level data management/ analytics tools will be given preference
  • good understanding of data management body of knowledge which includes a good grasp of concepts related to data governance and data science
  • knowledge and ability to manage databases and ETLS/ ELTS
  • good communication skills
  • project management skills.
