Job Description

˙Job Purpose:Administrate overall purchase orders lifecycle and ensures cost effective and efficient flow of purchased indents to the end users.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows-up and coordinates import and export shipments.
  • Makes sure all required documents are available on hands before the arrival of shipments to the destination to finalize the Customs clearance process smoothly.
  • Follows the daily shipments report.
  • Coordinates between Expeditors Team and Customs Clearance for all the requirements.
  • Directly involves in controlling and follow-up of hazardous, radioactive, oversized or extremely urgent consignments.
  • Communicates directly with the brokers if to release the shipment on urgent basis.
  • Comprehends the broker along with customs Clearance representative for any shipments which required visiting the customs to finalize it.
  • Reassesses with Chemical inspector for Police inspection, Permits and Exemptions validation.
  • Follow-up with the freight forwarder for released shipments and coordinate with Expediting team & Warehouse for delivery schedule.
  • Deals with the shipping lines for any issued regarding container / tanks which were being delivered and to be deliver to organizations site.
  • Reviews the Service invoices of Freight Forwarder and make sure it?s matching with Rate.
  • Approves transactions including service providers Invoices in accordance with company authority schedule.
  • Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
  • Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
  • Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
  • Performs any other relevant task as directed by direct supervisor/manager.
