Job Description

PURPOSEThis position is responsible for maintaining accounting ledger including general ledger and subsidiary ledger preparing journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy. Reporting to General Accounting Manager, and work with management in other departments including IT, operations & maintenance, engineering, admin, legal and others.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Responsible for the maintenance of all general and subsidiary ledgers of the Company through continuous monitoring the transaction postings and challenging the user to ensure the data accuracy & reporting.
  2. On a regular basis, reconcile accounts with the general ledger and ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations. In case of errors/mistakes identified, notify and discuss immediately with General Accounting Manager to plan the for timely resolution.
  3. Analyzing the financial information by reviewing general ledger & trial balance to ensure the summarization of financial data is entirely and accurately transferred to the financial report.
  4. Working closely with all the team during month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes and supporting reporting team in preparation of internal and external reporting packs.
  5. Working closely with JIGPC tax team in monitoring and reconciling the VAT, WHT, income tax and Zakat GLs on monthly basis.
  6. Preparing monthly GL comparison on monthly and quarterly basis, discussing and quantifying the variance after discussing with Planning & Performance management team.
  7. Fulfil the work arrangement & assignment from General Accounting Manager/Director Finance/CFO etc, and cascade, communicate, separate these tasks to meet the quality and time requirement for finalizing these assignments.
  8. Acting as an auditor to review all the accounting records in the accounting system to ensure compliance of IFRS on a timely and accurate basis.
  9. To be responsible for collection, circulating and cascading any new regulations and policies with respect to IFRS, VAT, Income Tax laws, TP Transactions bylaws, or otherwise implementation regulations.
  10. Participating in cross functional training to learn account payables, account receivable, cash journal processes and providing back-up role in the case of team member absences.
  11. Participating in the growth of finance team by training, coaching,˙and cross functional role swaps.
  12. Any other work assigned by the˙General Accounting Manager/Director Finance/CFO.
