Job Description

Description of assignment:Production of original / high quality graphic design materials to disseminate the work of Accelerator Lab State of Palestine. The materials will follow UNDP and global Accelerator Lab branding and graphic guidelines and will be used to improve/develop publications, social media content, infographics and brochures, presentations and other communications products. The graphic designer is expected to participate in the planning and delivery of pre and during comms products as part of the accelerator lab launch and other events as requested.Methodology:? The graphic designer is expected to work in close consultation with the Accelerator Lab team as well as the Partnerships and Communications Specialist at UNDP/ PAPP;? Participate in meetings with Accelerator Lab to agree on deliverables, actual materials to be delivered may be worked on at the location of the expert s choice;? Access, continuously review, and put forth suggestions to the communications correspondence and material circulated in the global accelerator lab platform;? Copyright and ownership - All materials produced and other intellectual property will be solely owned by UNDP/PAPP and Accelerator Lab State of Palestine. Any material provided to the expert will remain the property of UNDP/PAPP and Accelerator Lab State of Palestine.Expected deliverables? Deliver creative and innovative ideas for print, electronic, web-based and animated presentations;? Original photos to illustrate presentations, blogs, and reports in thematic areas of Lab s work;? Original illustrations for blog articles, social media postings, reports, brochures, posters, and other communication / visibility materials for thematic areas of work;? Graphic design/layout for Accelerator Lab handouts: project brochure, sub-project brochures, project fact sheet, privacy policy, external report and folders among others;? Graphic design/layout template for social media project sites and blog articles;? Prepare ready to print packages (all layout and design files, including pre-press for the printing house and web-versions) for publications and other communication products, such as reports, brochures, handbooks, leaflets, charts, photographs, posters, folders, etc.;? Develop video production on the work of the Accelerator Lab.Working arrangementsInstitutional Arrangements? The graphic designer will report to Accelerator Lab team on a regular basis. The consultant will coordinate with Communications Specialist once he/she joins the team and the Partnerships and Communications Specialist at UNDP/PAPP;? The graphic designer will liaise, interact, collaborate/meet staff at Accelerator Lab;? UNDP (Accelerator Lab State of Palestine) will support the consultant in the following:o Access to all reports and data relevant to the assignment. These will include all materials produced by the global accelerator lab network;o Support and assistance to gain access to relevant stakeholders for consultations to the extent possible.Payment Terms? Services will be delivered on an on-call basis and paid in United States Dollars upon successful completion of the assignment;? The consultancy fee will be paid per working day;? Payment will be made upon submission of monthly invoices, specifying the number of working days spent on each approved case, and providing documentation to support pre-approved expenses;? This agreement shall not warrant that any quantity of services will be purchased during the term of this agreement as this will depend on forthcoming needs.
