Job Description

A store manager plans and directs the stores day-to-day operations, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. Their duties include motivating sales teams, creating business strategies with the procurement department, developing promotional material with the marketing department, and training new staff. Moreover, ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is quick. Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Forecast staffing needs and develops a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas.Responsibilities:

  • Deal with customer queries and complaints.
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff.
  • Train and oversee new staff.
  • Teach the staff to smile at customers as they enter and exit the store, especially in the cashier section.
  • Teach staff to work under pressure especially on holidays, events, Ramadan, and back to-school season.
  • Teach the call center and the picker how to deal with e-commerce orders, then ensure its working smoothly.
  • Teach the bagger the proper way of bagging products then deliver them to the customer.
  • Schedule the staff holidays and vacations.
  • Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
  • Create business strategies to attract new customers and expand store traffic.
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure applying the Planogram.
  • Ensure the job description for each player is applied as per the company terms and policies.
  • Ensure the FIFO, FEFO is running smoothly.
  • Overseeing pricing and stock control.
  • Monitor inventory levels and expiry dates.
  • Monitor the backdoor process and ensure safety stock availability.
  • Monitor the product transfers between store departments and other branches.
  • Monitor the regular check and maintenance of lighting, A/C?s, freezers, storage rooms, and other electrical equipment.
  • Monitor then reduce the waste, shrinkage, damages, internal and external theft for each store department.
  • Monitor the staffs personal cleanliness and attitude.
  • Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
  • Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Organize weekly and special events.
  • Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to the customers to identify their needs and improve B2C relationships.
  • Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent.
