Job Description

Role Overview:The Senior Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for the maintenance and administration of a high availability environment as well as providing leadership in transitioning technical operations from traditional administration and deployment management to infrastructure as application leveraging automation/configuration management technologies.Responsibilities :

  • Provide maintenance and support for the application servers, proxy servers, security appliances, load balancers, storage and network
  • Manage and troubleshoot all common networking issues
  • Install, maintain and repair system hardware
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade Operating System and application engine software
  • Document system and application engine configurations
  • Monitor system, application, and network performance/availability
  • Plan for system, network and software upgrades for projected growth and new projects
  • Execute on implementation and execution of project plans
  • Monitor and respond to customer problems reported via email and support ticket system
  • Provide architectural guidance and implementation expertise
  • Work with technical management to determine architecture for overall systems operation and new systems projects
  • Focus on automating workflow and maintaining consistency within the Systems Infrastructure
  • Kickstart new servers and help to improve the repeatable build environment
  • Configure and maintain system and network monitoring services
  • Manage and monitor Legato Networker environment
  • Manage and monitor Network Appliance and other storage system
