Job Description

job purposeDevelop and manage sales and marketing strategies and activities to drive and maintain business growth to achieve or exceed the sales targets within the overall business objectives of the company through creating sustainable and long-term relationships with key customers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCorporate Strategy

• Lead the development of the Company?s vision, mission, and corporate strategy, as a member of the Senior Management Team, to ensure Company maximizes its short, medium, and long-term profitability and returns to its shareholder.
• Lead the translation of the Company?s overarching strategy into business plans for sales and marketing functions and ensure that the performance is effectively monitored and managed in order to achieve Companys strategic objectives.

Leadership

• Ensure the achievement of sales and marketing functions strategic objectives by setting priorities and objectives for direct reports, managing performance, developing and motivating highly qualified talent, and providing strategic direction in order to maximize performance, and improve operational excellence and productivity.
• Raise employee awareness and commitment to Company?s vision, mission, values, and corporate strategy in order to establish a highly engaged and motivated workforce, and continuously improve performance.

Organization Structure

• Define an optimum organization structure for the sales and marketing function and direct the development of departmental structures to ensure optimal utilization of department resources and communication between staff.

Budget Planning

• Provide direction on the preparation and consolidation of sales and marketing function budget in line with the function?s annual business plan.
• Ensure effective and continuous financial performance monitoring for the sales and marketing function against the budget so that the organization is aware of anticipated costs and/or revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized on.

Sales Planning

• Oversee and Prepare local and export sales forecasts for the production department based on previous sales orders in order to determine the number of finished products for delivery to clients.
• Analyze business performance and propose any required enhancements or orders to achieve or exceed planned forecasts.

Market Analysis

• Monitor local and export market activity and provide recommendations related to new products or enhancements based on the current situation or predicted market activity in order to maximize the utilization of, and market reach of the Company?s capabilities.
• Identify and evaluate potential new business or new product opportunities to drive the strategic direction of the Company while maximizing profitability.

Key Accounts

• Identify key relationships and prospective accounts in order to continuously develop business and achieve local and export sales targets via key accounts.
• Manage customer accounts and handle any escalations or complaints in order to maintain good relationships and generate repeat business while maintaining Company?s credibility and reliability in the market.

Collections

• Ensure collection of all payments and if necessary, communicate with and advise the accounts collection section to contact defaulting customers in order to reach a payment solution that protects the interests of the Company.

Change Management

• Lead the management of change through continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices taking into account ?international leading practice?, and changes in the business environment in order to improve business performance and operational excellence.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Provide strategic direction for the development and implementation of functional policies, procedures, and controls in order to ensure that activities are conducted in line with relevant procedural/regulatory requirements, and ensure optimum business operations.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment

• Direct safe operations by complying with the organization?s HSE, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and systems in order to achieve zero harm to people, assets, and the environment.

Management Reporting

• Ensure that all functional reports are completed in a comprehensive, accurate, and timely manner, and comply with international principles and standards, and Company?s requirements.?
• Present regular and ad-hoc management reports related to the function, provide recommendations to the CEO on new opportunities, highlight critical issues and challenges, and provide strategic insight to ensure effective decision-making.

DECISION MAKING & AUTHORITY??

• Take decisions related to local and export client portfolios by recommending new retail stores, target markets, etc.
• Approve, recommend, or review employees? leave requests, increments, promotions, performance appraisals, resignation, termination, etc.
• Recommend and follow the authority matrix for expenditure, budgeting, and credit limits.

MAJOR CHALLENGES

• Maintaining and growing the Company?s position in the market and continuously sustaining suitable and appropriate brand awareness.
• Selling products through innovative techniques to attract the highest number of customers in targeted segments.
• Monitoring end-user behaviors and market dynamic changes (COVID-19 for example) in order to take timely corrective actions.
