Safety Management Systems:? Coordinate with SQE to ensure the implementation of the requirements of the Safety Management Systems in the MED Directorate and to ensure compliance with safety guidelines? Implement corrective actions in coordination with SQE to ensure that CNS-ATM systems performance is back to normal levelsInspection & audits:? Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations? Inspect health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations and ensure the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or performance? Conduct regular safety audits / inspections across all CNS-ATM systems and facilities according to the approved random check planSafety Awareness & Control:? Champion and drive safety management initiatives across the MED Directorate and order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers health or safety? Ensure that safety management documentation is readily available and accessible to all MED staff, document and share lessons learned and provide technical expertise on all safety related issues and inquiries? Promote a safety culture and behavior across the MED Directorate by recommending safety trainings and initiating seminars for MED staff by way of regular and refresher training on safety, in line with performance and capability needs and in coordination with SQERegulation & Compliance:? Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future? Report to Maintenance Planning Manager all Safety and Quality information that can be used to support future planning decisionsPolicies, Processes and Procedures:? Conduct day-to-day activities while ensuring compliance to policies and procedures? Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes taking into account leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvement
