Job PurposeDeveloping and managing all 3PL operations; Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouses and Inventory. Ensure high quality in all operational steps and provide services which increase sales, profitability, market share, customers / 3 Pl clients and employee satisfaction by directing and monitoring all regional operations and personnel development activitiesMain Accountabilities— Ensure the Job Purpose happens— Treat all customers, peers and colleagues with integrity and collaboration to ensure driving a high performance culture.— Model the core values, develop and enhance use of the Binzagr Universal Competencies adhering to the Lead-by Example competencies— Comply with all HR & Binzagr Company Policies and Procedures— Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures and Service Level AgreementsMain ResponsibilitiesOperations:- Liaise with SVP Branch Operations to develop an appropriate and cost effective 3 PL organization to meet branch operating needs.Manage cross docking branches service levels and operational activitiesWarehouse Practices and Procedures:- Oversee Operations Managements? performance in maintaining best practices of the Warehouse Management System (WMS)- Ensure the cost effective handling/storing of stock- Ensure that all team members are applying the approved standards of quality in all operation and logistics activities, inventory handling and transportation.- Ensure the companies Warehouses are kept in good condition with stocks secured and stored in an orderly manner3 PL Customer service:- Maintain and ensure compliance with all Service Level Agreements.(SLA)- Install in all staff the importance of providing the best customer service- Ensure that performance measures and KPIs are maintained consistently to meet agreed SLA conditions- Comply with agreed CCFO (Customer Case Fill on Time) targets with Business Units and Clients - Laisse with the Transportation Department to deliver agreed KPI?s- Ensure that order fulfillment is measured accurately and consistentlySupport Business Units to achieve Sales Budgets: -Cultivate and maintain good relations with 3 PL clients (internally and externally), including maintaining personal contacts with top customers and holding periodic business reviews with Customers-Develop a cost effective capability to respond to unplanned/rush deliveries - Coordinate the contribution of different functions to achieve Customer order fulfillment: - Ensure that order fulfillment is measured accurately and consistentlySite infrastructure:- Ensure Operations activities on all sites are properly licensed- Ensure that all facilities are adequate to meet the company?s operating requirements - In conjunction with SVP BO, plan and develop options for expanding/ reducing warehouse capacities in line with business planning- Oversee maintenance of buildings at all sites- Coordinate necessary improvements to sites- Maintain effective security and quality on all sitesCapital expenditure:- Review CAPEX requests and ensure justification is provided- Ensure procedures for approval of CAPEX/Fixed Asset disposals are adhered to - Monitor actual spending against budget approvals- Study efficiency ratios to increase asset?s efficiency compared to expensesAccounting:- Monitor accounts departments are maintaining accounting records that reliably reflect the actual assets/liabilities and operating results- Follow up /check the Accounts Departments are providing agreed reports to the Branch Management Team in a timely manner- Monitor Trade Receivables and oversee collections on overdue amounts- Intercede to collect overdue amounts, when required, coordinating with Sales Teams, Branch Accountants and Legal Department if needed.- Oversee the procedure of credit control and support credit approval applications wherever appropriateInternal controls:- Ensure approved Policies, Procedures and practices are adhered to consistently with an emphasis on critical exchange points- Review Internal Audit reports and check that corrective action is taken wherever neededHuman resources:- Facilitate the Manpower Planning for 3 PL Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain teams - Contribute to forward planning exercises- Recommend training and coaching for staff to advance performance skills
