Job Description

JOB PURPOSEPlan and develop purchasing plans based on statistical and historical inputs and in coordination with supply chain manager and concerned stakeholders in order to achieve improvements in both accuracies of forecasts and associated costs.RESPONSIBILITIESPeople Management

  • Supervise the activities and work performed by direct reports to ensure that all work is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, and supply chain departmental policies and procedures.
  • Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.?
Purchasing
  • Analyse statistical historical data and accordingly build the purchasing plan in order to ensure that production operations run uninterrupted and smoothly, in line with business guidelines and constraints.
  • Ensure all purchases are made within the required purchasing timeframes.
  • Cooperate with Local and Foreign Purchase officers and Runners to ensure that all materials are received on time and as per the set standards and requirements.
Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of supply chain departmental systems, policies, processes and practices taking into account ?international leading practice? in order to improve business processes, productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Provide critical input to support the development of supply chain departmental systems, policies, processes, and procedures in order to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure team members comply with all supply chain departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
  • Ensure all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to in their assigned team so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
Reporting
  • Prepare relative reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet AGM?s requirements, and the departmental requirements, policies and standards.
