Job Description

To ensure that all planned crane and yard movements are supported by adequate equipment and manpower and that all terminal resources are used in the best possible way, so that all goes well on a day to day basis as per terminal standardsRESPONSIBILITIES

  • On arrival/berthing of the vessel assign & activate the quay crane and deploy other equipment for operation.
  • Segregation of equipment by considering the following aspects i.e. assigned cranes, planned crane moves, pre-planning stacks of grounding & loading location.
  • Deploying equipment as required on heavy blocks and closely monitoring operation.
  • Monitoring closely delivery & receiving blocks and making proper execution with Ops supervisor in reducing congestion in the yard.
  • Monitoring closely truck turnaround time to achieve given KPI.
  • Optimizing Equipment utilization at the yard to reduce fuel cost.
  • Monitoring custom activity (clearing & laydown) and scan activity for smooth flow.
  • Constantly monitoring crane sequence by co-ordinating with Vessel Planner & Yard Planner and if any clash occurs prompt action to be taken by changing crane sequence.
