JOB PORPUSE:To organize, plan, program and supervise resources availability at stores and therefore contributing to smooth functioning of port operations.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESúÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory controlúÿÿÿÿÿÿreceive the materials supplied by the vendor as per the purchase order placed by the Purchase DepartmentúÿÿÿÿÿÿFollow the rejected items with Procurement deptúÿÿÿÿÿÿFollow inspection status with end user and closing PO on timeúÿÿÿÿÿÿFollow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the stores area of operation.úÿÿÿÿÿÿCheck the materials thoroughly for quality, quantity, specification condition, etc.úÿÿÿÿÿÿRefuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.úÿÿÿÿÿÿcategories the materials category wise and stock in the appropriate locations.úÿÿÿÿÿÿtake appropriate action for care and preservation of the materials.úÿÿÿÿÿÿPeriodical stock verification and always ensure correctness of stock.úÿÿÿÿÿÿInvestigating inventory shortages and discrepanciesúÿÿÿÿÿÿWork closely with Purchasing to order and receive items and Material.úÿÿÿÿÿÿMediate any confrontations between staff and clients and de-escalate the situation.úÿÿÿÿÿÿAnalysis the aging of stocks & communicate the management about obsolete Stock.úÿÿÿÿÿÿStrong coordination with team, user departmentsúÿÿÿÿÿÿinspect items from any breakages and damages.úÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsure that the store is kept clean and organized.úÿÿÿÿÿÿAssist stores keeper in managing inventory controls.úÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsure that Stores staff is in good attendance, well presented and all work is carried out in compliance with DP World Safety Environment Policy and SOPs.
