Job Description

Job PurposeThe role will be responsible for administering ALJUF?s computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems. The incumbent will perform disaster recovery operations, implement data, software, and hardware protection strategies. S/he will work closely with the users of the networks in order to identify potential issues and pre-emptively troubleshooting them.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities

  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments
  • Implement security policies, tools, and procedures in collaboration with the company?s security team
  • Investigate faults in the network and proactively provide solutions
  • Analyze existing network systems to find flaws and suggest solutions for improvement
  • Ensure system resource utilization, trending and capacity planning
Key Activities
  • Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software and resolving other network problems and outages
  • Design highly resilient network with no single point of failure; all failovers fully tested on regular schedule
  • Respond to network connectivity issues and resolve any wireless communication issues
  • Maximize performance quality by overseeing the network performance and scheduling upgrades at regular intervals
  • Proactively evaluate new and emerging technologies and suggest ways to add value to the existing infrastructure
  • Configure and install various network devices and services
  • Secure network systems by enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access
  • Report network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information, and managing projects
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for automating and streamlining processes wherever possible
  • Own incident-specific network issue resolution. Communicate the correct urgency and severity to leadership, internal teams, and stakeholders
  • Confer with network users about solving already present system and network problems
  • Participate in the evaluation of new software, hardware, and/or system installation
  • Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
  • Participate in data center facilities and hardware security processes
  • Interface with and maintain open communication with internal leadership stakeholders to ensure delivery of excellent service
